Big Bear and University Prep are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bears will welcome the Jaguars at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Big Bear lost 22-1 to Riverside Prep on Thursday. The contest marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Big Bear saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennen Berge, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, University Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Hesperia, falling 8-0. Considering the last time the Jaguars couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

University Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Big Bear, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Big Bear has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like University Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Big Bear's way against University Prep in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Big Bear made off with an 18-12 win. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
