Basketball Recap: Kelvyn Park Comes Up Short

Kelvyn Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Wells Raiders, falling 54-32. The Panthers lost against the Raiders in their previous head to head back in February of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 125-45 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Kelvyn Park lost, don't look at Tayveon Johnson. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Laterryon Lee, who put up seven points.

Kelvyn Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wells, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Kelvyn Park didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-46 defeat against Intrinsic on the 9th. Wells has also already played their next contest, a 60-55 victory against Uplift on the 9th.
