Baseball Recap: Hilliard Comes Up Short

Hilliard came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles, falling 14-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in February.

Hilliard saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Garland, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases Garland has posted since back in February.

Hilliard's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Hilliard will take on Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on March 20th. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, they have already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Santa Fe on the 14th.
