Baseball Recap: Cimarron Triumphs

Cimarron let Ulysses stack eight runs on them in the second inning on Tuesday but luckily Cimarron prevailed anyway. The Bluejays walked away with a 15-11 win over the Tigers. The Bluejays haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Jesus Martinez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Cimarron now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Ulysses, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cimarron beat the Tigers by a score of 5-4 later that day.
