Baseball Recap: Lake Charles College Prep Takes a Loss

Lake Charles College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-7 to the Hicks Pirates, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Chrisian Burgos was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Chase Bernard, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Lake Charles College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Hicks, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Lake Charles College Prep will take on Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hicks, they will challenge Rapides at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
