Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lincoln can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Northwest Wolves on Thursday. The Lynx have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-20, 25-11.

Despite the defeat, Lincoln saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emily Townsend had 16 assists and six digs.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 9-28. As for Northwest, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 34-1.

Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Ames on the 28th.
