League recap: Shelbyville scores huge upset over Pendleton Heights

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Shelbyville, who defeated 86th ranked Pendleton Heights, 38-21. DeShaun French ran for 197 yards in the win.

Adding to the longest winning streak in Hoosier Heritage this week, Yorktown beat Greenfield-Central 62-13,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.

The Arabians' dynamic duo of Jesse Furrow and Chandler Wilson proved tough for the Golden Bears to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Furrow threw for 229 yards and Wilson had 111 yards receiving. Eren Davis helped Pendleton Heights' passing attack out by catching 9 balls for 59 yards.

Pendleton Heights' dynamic duo of Furrow and Wilson proved to be unstoppable against Shelbyville, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

French was the best running back in the league this week. Jake Laker also contributed to the rushing game with 48 yards on the ground.

Wilson was the best wideout in the league this week as John Broughton's team lost to Patrick Parks' team.

Furrow put up the best numbers through the air as the Arabians lost to the Golden Bears.

Leading Hoosier Heritage in both passing and receiving yards, Pendleton Heights' Furrow and Wilson have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Furrow has thrown for 601 yards this season, while Wilson has 16 catches for 287 yards. Shelbyville's Laker leads the league in rushing yards with 525.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Delta takes on Yorktown. At the moment, the Eagles are in fifth, while Mike Wilhelm's team is in first.

Mt. Vernon was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in the league. The Marauders vanquished Muncie Southside 65-13 earlier in the week.
