Pleasant Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Ponderosa Bruins on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-11, 25-27, 25-18.

Pleasant Valley's offense was headlined by Kenzie Johnson and Natalie Wulferdingen, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Audrey Ferro and her 31 assists. Finally, Wulferdingen was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Pleasant Valley has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Woodcreek on the 22nd. As for Ponderosa, they will challenge Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
