Basketball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

Mount Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Chisum Mustangs and fell 70-14. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Chisum, they pushed their record up to 17-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Mount Vernon will face off against Lone Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Oak will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Mount Vernon surely won't give up without a fight. Chisum has already played their next contest (against Prairiland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
