Van Alstyne had won two straight home games and Savanna Young did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Panthers came out on top against the Community Braves by a score of 2-0 with plenty of help from Young, who had 18 digs and one assist. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 17 times she's played.

Van Alstyne easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14.

Van Alstyne's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Community, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Van Alstyne has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Paris on the 30th. As for Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Chisum on the 29th.
