Basketball Recap: Alta-Aurelia Comes Up Short

After flying high against Storm Lake St. Mary last Tuesday, Alta-Aurelia came back down to earth. The matchup between the Alta-Aurelia Warriors and the South Central Calhoun Titans didn't end well, with the Alta-Aurelia Warriors falling 52-36. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Titans: they've now lost four in a row.

Alta-Aurelia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for South Central Calhoun, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alta-Aurelia will venture away from home to challenge Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for South Central Calhoun, they will face off against Pocahontas at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Pocahontas has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
