Football Game Preview: Sudan Hornets vs. Crosbyton Chiefs

For the first time this season, Sudan will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Crosbyton Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crosbyton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Sudan, who comes in off a win.

Sudan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Plains 41-12 last Friday. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Crosbyton fell victim to Olney and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Cubs 33-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Chiefs were not able to get on the board.

Sudan's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Crosbyton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Sudan against Crosbyton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 48-8 victory. In that game, the Hornets amassed a halftime lead of 33-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
