Softball Recap: Lamar Texans vs. Westside Wolves
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Heights, Lamar was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Westside Wolves as the Lamar Texans made off with a 13-4 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Lamar considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
For Westside's part, Jada Cooper made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI. Mila Crosser was another key contributor, going 1-for-2 with a home run.
Lamar's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Westside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.
Lamar will head out on the road to face off against Westbury at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Westside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellaire at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
