Softball Recap: Mendenhall Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Mendenhall's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Yazoo County Panthers on Monday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 16-7.

Mendenhall's loss dropped their record down to 14-8-1. As for Yazoo County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Mendenhall will face off against Pass Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Yazoo County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-1 defeat against Grenada on the 15th.
