Basketball Recap: El Capitan Takes a Loss

El Capitan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Panguitch Bobcats 60-17. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

El Capitan's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Panguitch, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Capitan won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rough Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. El Capitan is facing Rough Rock at the right time seeing as Rough Rock is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Panguitch, they are taking a road trip to face off against Escalante at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
