Softball Recap: Cornerstone Charter Find Success

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Cornerstone Charter brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 win over the North Stokes Vikings on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lilly Holt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Croatt, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Cornerstone Charter's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for North Stokes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Charter will welcome Southern Guilford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Stokes, they will be playing at home against South Stokes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
