Recap: First Assembly Christian Crusaders vs. Harding Academy Lions

The First Assembly Christian Crusaders came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Harding Academy by a score of 46-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as First Assembly Christian also won the last time the pair played last Monday.

It was another big night for Marlena Davis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 22 straight games. Danae Kennedy was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Despite the loss, Harding Academy saw an underclassman step up: Bella rose Austin scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mia Thompson, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.

Harding Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as First Assembly Christian racked up 12 assists.

First Assembly Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Harding Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

First Assembly Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Harding Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
