Softball Recap: Clay Blue Devils vs. Ridgeview Panthers
Clay was the 3-1 winner over Ridgeview when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-7 on Wednesday. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Amiah Carrubba made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kaelye Rouw, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Clay's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Ridgeview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.
Clay didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-6 win against Ponte Vedra on the 4th. As for Ridgeview, they have also already played their next matchup, a 17-2 victory against Providence School on the 7th.
