Hopewell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mallard Creek only posted an OBP of .273.
Hopewell is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mooresville, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Everything went Mooresville's way against Hopewell when the teams last played back in April of 2021, as Mooresville made off with a 20-0 victory.
