Soccer Recap: Davidson Comes Up Short

Davidson's tournament run continued when they took on Rossview on Friday. The Warriors fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Davidson came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 37th in Alabama, while Rossview are ranked 135th in Tennessee).

This is the second loss in a row for Davidson and nudges their season record down to 7-7-2. As for Rossview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Coming up, Davidson will square off against Science Hill at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rossview, they will take on Briarcrest Christian in a tournament on Saturday. Briarcrest Christian's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
