Softball Game Preview: Christian County Colonels vs. Crittenden County Rockets

The Christian County Colonels will square off against the Crittenden County Rockets at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Christian County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Christian County fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Lyon County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lyons by a score of 12-11.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Crittenden County's offense. They came up short against Livingston Central on Tuesday, falling 14-0.

Crittenden County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Christian County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Christian County skirted past Crittenden County 8-6 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Colonels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
