St. Mary has gone 8-2 against LaSalle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. St. Mary will host LaSalle at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
St. Mary is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Montgomery on Friday as they made off with a 42-18 win. St. Mary not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 7, 2024 (when they won 41-8).
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in John Paul Thibodaux and Jeremiah Christian. Thibodaux had a great game and rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Christian was balling out in the loss, rushing for 145 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

St. Mary's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 9.5 times. Haiden Nelson led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. La'Travion Jefferson has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, LaSalle came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Gators 24-22.
The critical scores for LaSalle came from Jessey Stowe, Alex Richmond, and Wyatt King.
LaSalle was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 215 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 215 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.
LaSalle's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for St. Mary, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-5.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. St. Mary has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 147.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like LaSalle struggles in that department as they've been averaging 280 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for St. Mary against LaSalle in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 30-0 victory. Will St. Mary repeat their success, or does LaSalle has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
