            Softball Recap: Mendota Trojans vs. Rockridge Rockets        
        
		
        
        
            Mendota extended their losing streak  to ten  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 2-11 in the process. They came up short against  the Rockridge Rockets, falling  18-0. The  contest marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.
 Mendota saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cassie Gonzalez, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base.
As for Rockridge, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the  win, which was their 18th straight  on the road dating back to last season. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.6 runs over those games.
 On Rockridge's side,  Baylee Kelly was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with six  RBI, three  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  six  RBI gave  Kelly a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tatum Lowe, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mendota will square off against Erie-Prophetstown at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Rockridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orion  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
