Alvord won the last time they faced Chico and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Alvord had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-14, 25-19, 25-16.

Chico lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Addi Simmons, who had 15 assists and seven digs.

Alvord's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Chico, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season.

Alvord will face off against Poolville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chico, they will host Lipan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
