Recap: Forsyth Central Bulldogs vs. Milton Eagles
The Forsyth Central Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 62-28 loss at the hands of Milton. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Forsyth Central in their matchups with Milton: they've now lost four in a row.
Forsyth Central got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Abby Woerner and
Lily DeLuca, who each put up seven points.
Nya Smith was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten steals for Milton. Smith is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Londyn Walker, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Forsyth Central has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for Milton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forsyth Central will take on South Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Forsyth is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Milton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denmark at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Denmark is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
