Basketball Recap: Dunkerton Takes a Loss

Dunkerton suffered their closest loss since December 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Hudson Pirates by a score of 60-58. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Raiders came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Pirates are ranked 218th).

Dunkerton's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Hudson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-15.

Dunkerton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hudson, they will head out to face off against Union at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hudson is facing Union at the right time seeing as Union is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
