Fort Wayne Canterbury is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They snuck past Lakeland Christian Academy with a 64-60 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won six in a row.

Reed Hayes was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Fort Wayne Canterbury's points. Another player making a difference was Thiran Padmalingam, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Huntington North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 58-38 to Tippecanoe Valley. The match marked Huntington North's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fort Wayne Canterbury will have to contain Dalton Husband as he made an impact in Huntington North's last game. He on his way to 17 points. Husband's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Ethan Zahn was another key player, to rack up 12 points.

Huntington North's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

Fort Wayne Canterbury was able to grind out a solid win over Huntington North when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 55-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Wayne Canterbury since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
