Basketball Recap: Cumberland Academy of Georgia Piles Up the Points Against Atlanta Area School for the Deaf

Cumberland Academy of Georgia barely beat Atlanta Area School for the Deaf the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cyclones blew past the Panthers 55-27 on Wednesday. The team accrued 43 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

Raj Petigara was a one-man wrecking crew as he shot 82% from the field to rack up 24 points and four blocks. Maxwell Daniel was another key player, going 7-for-13 on his way to 14 points and eight assists.

The win got Cumberland Academy of Georgia back to even at 1-1. As for Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Cumberland Academy of Georgia and Atlanta Area School for the Deaf will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Cyclones see the court they'll take on Varsity Opponent at 12:45 p.m. on December 3. As for Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, their break will end when they face Howard at 4:00 p.m. on December 2.
