Football Recap: Prairie Heights Takes a Loss

Prairie Heights extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They were outmatched by the Churubusco Eagles and fell 39-12. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-0.

Although Prairie Heights took the loss, they still got scores from JOEL GRABER and EASTON CONEY.

As for Churubusco, they now have a winning record of 3-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Churubusco to victory were Colt Singleton and Brody Lawrence. Singleton rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, while Lawrence threw for 69 yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave Lawrence a new career-high in passer rating (177.1).

Prairie Heights wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-0 loss against Eastside on the 26th. As for Churubusco, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 36-14 victory against Fremont on the 26th.
