For the second straight game, Fountain-Fort Carson will face off against Liberty. The Trojans will host the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fountain-Fort Carson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Fountain-Fort Carson is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since March 15th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Liberty. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Lancers on their field since May 17, 2021.

Joseph Baumbach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cody Greiner, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fountain-Fort Carson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
