Volleyball Recap: Schurr Takes a Loss

Schurr was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Whittier Cardinals. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Schurr was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-17.

Schurr's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Whittier, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Schurr will host Norwalk at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whittier, they will head out on the road to square off against Gahr at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
