Basketball Game Preview: St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers vs. DC International Dragons

Two dominant guards in Max Leeman and Gavin Moore are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers will head out to face off against the DC International Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

St. Anselm's Abbey heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Wednesday. They took a hard 64-46 fall against Berman Hebrew Academy.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Mario Camara Paslar, who posted 13 points. Joe Watkins was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 10 points.

Meanwhile, DC International faced KIPP DC Legacy College Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. DC International took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of KIPP DC Legacy College Prep. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

St. Anselm's Abbey's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for DC International, their loss dropped their record down to 17-15.
