Basketball Game Preview: Brownstown Central Braves vs. Madison Cubs

Brownstown Central and Madison are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Brownstown Central Braves are taking a road trip to take on the Madison Cubs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Brownstown Central earned a 43-36 victory over Lanesville. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

Meanwhile, Madison had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Raiders 62-41. The Cubs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Madison pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Brownstown Central, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-4.

Brownstown Central didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Madison when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 54-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brownstown Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
