Volleyball Recap: Hesperia Christian Beats Apple Valley for Their Third Straight Victory

Hesperia Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Apple Valley Sun Devils.

Hesperia Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Apple Valley into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-17, 25-21, 20-25, 15-13.

Nylah Easterling paced Hesperia Christian's offense, picking up 17 kills. Easterling got some help from Jayda Johnson and her 20 assists. Hannah Audet controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the loss, Apple Valley still got an impressive performance from ABIGAIL NICKLASON, who had 28 digs and three assists. With that strong performance, NICKLASON is now averaging an impressive 10.8 digs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of SALLY BALLAT, who had 20 assists and six digs.

The win got Hesperia Christian back to even at 5-5. As for Apple Valley, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.

Hesperia Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Arrowhead Christian on the 26th. As for Apple Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Summit on the 27th.
