Basketball Recap: Teays Valley Comes Up Short

Teays Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 50-33 to the Newark Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 418th, while the Wildcats are ranked 80th).

Teays Valley's record is now 4-8. As for Newark, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Teays Valley will venture away from home to challenge Bloom-Carroll at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Newark, they are taking a road trip to take on Reynoldsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
