Soccer Recap: D'Iberville Comes Up Short

D'Iberville and Northwest Rankin squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but D'Iberville had to settle for second. They lost 4-0 to the Northwest Rankin Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Cougars are ranked fourth).

D'Iberville has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7-1 record this season. As for Northwest Rankin, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3-1.

D'Iberville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest Rankin, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Gulfport on the 7th.
