Softball Recap: Cleburne County Comes Up Short

Cleburne County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Childersburg. If Cleburne County was looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to Childersburg when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cleburne County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Childersburg, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-14.

Cleburne County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-2 loss against Jacksonville on the 11th. As for Childersburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Wellborn on the 11th.
