Baseball Recap: Hot Springs Tigers vs. Socorro Warriors
Hot Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to the Socorro Warriors, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Wednesday.
Hot Springs got a big performance out of Ashton Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Tristan Polanco was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Socorro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
While Hot Springs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
