Cassadaga Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Frewsburg Bears 75-42. One positive for the Cougars, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Trent Lewis had an outrageously good game for Frewsburg as he went 9 for 14 on his way to 23 points along with six steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave Lewis a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kael Collver, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Cassadaga Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Frewsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cassadaga Valley Cougars duke it out with the Gowanda Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frewsburg, they will face off against Silver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Frewsburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
