All good things must come to an end.

The Red River (Grand Forks, N.D.) girls tennis team finally lost a match for the first time in 15 years last Thursday as Sheyenne (West Fargo, N.D.) topped Red River 3-2 to capture the East Region team tournament.

The Roughriders' 203-match win streak was the fifth most in American high school girls tennis history according to the National Federation Of State High School Associations Record Book.

"There are a lot of programs in this country that would love to be 203-1 over the last 204," Red River coach Greg LaDoucer told Brad Elliott Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald. "I'm proud of that."
