Softball Recap: Capital Takes a Loss

Capital and Big Sky squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Capital had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 18-1. The Bruins have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Capital saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ali Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Capital's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Big Sky, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Big Sky beat Capital by a score of 13-1 later that day.
