Southwest Florida Christian entered their tilt with First Baptist Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the First Baptist Academy Lions. The King's have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Logan Waldrup was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Southwest Florida Christian got a great performance from Leo Montufar as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Lawson Polhill, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ian Long, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Southwest Florida Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for First Baptist Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwest Florida Christian will challenge LaBelle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Florida Christian is facing LaBelle at the right time seeing as LaBelle is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for First Baptist Academy, they will face off against Ida Baker at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. First Baptist Academy's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Ida Baker's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
