Basketball Recap: Edison's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Edison came into Saturday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 69-62 victory over the Kerman Lions on Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Kerman lost, don't look at Daniel Bibioff. Despite the final result, he went 18 for 33 on his way to 47 points and seven steals. The game was Bibioff's third in a row with at least ten points. Vaughn Blunt was another key player, putting up four points and eight rebounds.

Edison's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Kerman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Edison and Centennial will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Edison's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Kerman, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Kerman Lions duke it out with the Santa Paula Cardinals at 12:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
