Softball Recap: White Plains Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

White Plains entered their tilt with Harrison on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Huskies get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The contest marked the Tigers' most dominant win of the season so far.

Alexis Tighe was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Ava Galligani was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Olivia Doria was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

White Plains kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matches.

White Plains pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, White Plains will host Ketcham at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harrison, they will head out on the road to square off against Edgemont at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
