Basketball Recap: DMLK Piles Up the Points Against KIPP Denver Collegiate

DMLK posted their biggest win since December 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 69-38 victory over the KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DMLK to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deion Turner, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. Turner is becoming a predictor of DMLK's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 4-2 (and 7-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jessie Matthews, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 16 points and eight rebounds.

DMLK smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

DMLK now has a winning record of 11-10. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they dropped their record down to 2-18 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.
