Volleyball Recap: High Point Academy Wins Going Away Against Blacksburg

High Point Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Blacksburg Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

One reason for the win was High Point Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-13.

Addy Purser paced High Point Academy's offense, picking up 17 kills. Purser got some help from Davan Beall and her 29 assists. Cicely Sloan controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

High Point Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Blacksburg, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

As of now, neither High Point Academy nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
