Basketball Recap: Joshua Barber's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcarthur over Carol City

McArthur was the 65-28 winner over Carol City when they last played one another back in January of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The McArthur Mustangs fell to the Carol City Chiefs 54-50. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McArthur lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joshua Barber, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Gonzalez, who had eight points in addition to five boards and three steals.

McArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Carol City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

McArthur wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 82-48 victory against Northeast on the 27th. As for Carol City, they will square off against North Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
