Basketball Recap: Sauk Centre Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sauk Centre entered their tilt with Big Lake on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Big Lake Hornets by a score of 80-67. Given the Mainstreeters' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Hornets are ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sauk Centre pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.0 points per game. As for Big Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
