Softball Recap: South Hills Huskies vs. Alta Loma Braves
If South Hills was riding high fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Colony on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies fell just short of the Alta Loma Braves by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Braves earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Abigail Quintero was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jayden Garcia and Charli Moreno did some serious damage despite the final result: Garcia went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Moreno went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
