Softball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Takes a Loss

St. Mary's Academy lost against Metairie Park Country Day back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars lost 22-3 to the Cajuns. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Mary's Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Harris, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Demi Beard was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

St. Mary's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Metairie Park Country Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

St. Mary's Academy will square off against St. Katharine Drexel at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Metairie Park Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
